Free Gold Watch was recently commissioned to design & print a few pairs of custom Dickies work pants. The theme was fabric, we enlarged multiple types of fabrics to over 1000% or the original woven size. Here is a sneak peak of the printing process that takes 4 people to complete. For the next few Saturday, Free Gold Watch will be doing a garage sale out of the FGW warehouse located on the corners of Stanyan & Waller in San Fransisco. You will find everything from garbage pail kids, old kicks, fine films, discontinued FGW samples and lots of junk treasure.

Live Fast, Die Young; Men’s & Women’s t-shirts
This design was taken from a photograph of a 4th grader’s shoes from a public school in the Bronx. Matt aka Flaco was doing a workshop last summer and was teaching students how to silk screen and encourage creative expression. All the kiddies were loving the lesson with exception to one lil’ girl who simply had a bad attitude. She did not want to participate in the activities. Flaco said, “What if I take a picture of your shoes and make a tee shirt out of it?”

She said, “Well, I guess that would be kinda cool.”

And that’s what happened…she had truly an amazingly positive perspective on life given her age…as the toe on her Chuck Taylor’s read “Live Fast, Die Young.”

As you may know, Free Gold Watch will be releasing new product every Tuesday. Last we we debuted the limited edition Hater Blockers unisex sunglasses. In celebration of yesterdays international Friendship Day, FGW will be releasing two different designs tomorrow including the ‘Best Friends’ t-shirt combo pack.

Free Gold Watch and The Instant Messengers have been working together for the past few years now on all things merch related. Some of the design and all of the printing is done by FGW plus the IM bring out FGW merchandise to sell on their tour dates. The Instant Messengers just finished a video for ‘iHuman’ a track from their ‘Slammers’ ep that hits iTunes on August 5th, 2008.
